The Maldives – best known for their exclusive resort beaches and diving activities – have a height of about 1.5 metres above sea level, making the country the lowest place in the world. According to the United Nations, it will be the first state in the world to disappear as a result of climate change. In Diving Maldives, Giulia Piermartiri and Edoardo Delille collected underwater photographs taken by tourists and projected them as slides. Then the houses and streets became the canvas on which a not too distant future looming over their daily lives was projected.
