SEEN FROM SPACE | Earth and deep space

In cooperation with  Logo Esa

Along the ancient walls of Via Roma, the images of the Earth-observation satellites take the pulse of our planet during the lockdown: the silence of the Venice lagoon due to the absence of waterbuses, the reduction of the concentration of nitrogen dioxide in India and Europe, the fleets of planes left in parking lots. In the arcades of Signorelli Theatre, satellite images of distant nebulae and stars dialogue with those of terrestrial landscapes. While the COVID-19 pandemic is causing major changes in our daily lives, ESA is exploring how space can help improve life on Earth.

ESA is Europe’s comprehensive space agency, active across every area of the space sector and bringing its benefits to people in everyday life, as well as to businesses. ESA is dedicated to the peaceful exploration and use of space. Established in 1975, for more than 40 years, ESA has promoted European scientific and industrial interests in space. www.esa.int
