For this 2024 edition of Cortona On The Move, our partnership with Intesa Sanpaolo presents the public with a unique and original exhibition, based on a project commissioned by Intesa Sanpaolo’s Gallerie d’Italia to the Cesura photography collective.

Ten interwoven narratives paint an ideal journey of the water cycle by analyzing the different forms in which water manifests itself: from the source to the river mouth, by way of agricultural, industrial and recreational exploitation. Within the framework of the festival, Cronache d’acqua is a journey that reflects on the symbiotic – and often fragile – relationship between Earth and human beings: an intrinsic connection between humanity and the world it inhabits, where the human body is perceived as a guest that interacts more or less consciously with the environment.
