Commissioned work for Aboca
After the projects by Jessica Backhaus (“Rinascita”) and Simon Roberts (“Inizio”), the documentation of the third year of the rehabilitation project at the Tenuta Granducale di Montecchio, has been entrusted to Claudius Schulze.
The German photographer has an avant-gardist approach while at the same time maintaining a strong link with the classical “herbarium” tradition. He is categorizing the richness of medicinal plants and the variety of the orchard species. On the other side he is using non-photographic technology to “scan” the landscape in a novel manner. The aim is to “quantify reality” in an objective way in a place where nature is respected and guided through its spontaneous development.
