L’illa
“L’illa” (the island) is a photographic project composed of snapshots of people living on an island. The settings in which the characters are involved interact with images found in the natural environment, and with personal objects presented in a daily context. From an intimate and introspective viewpoint, “L’illa” reflects on different aspects, such as the lack of communication, departure, separation, childhood, developing in a familiar and geographical environment.
Beatriz Polo Ianez’s (Palma de Mallorca, Spagna, 1976) “L’illa” was selected in the Semana de Descubrimientos PhotoEspaña in Madrid.
