Por Aquí Todo Bien

In Honduras young men who live in places like Rivera Hernandez, in the outskirt of San Pedro Sula, deal with a sense of a fragile physical existence. Gangs represent the leading institution in these labyrinthine expanses. They label areas drawing imaginary lines which become borders between the communities. Between 2018 and 2019 I followed a group of friends in their youth, members of the Honduran branch of the gang Barrio 18. As these kids struggle with the randomness of violence around them, they are becoming aware of the inability to have a future in Honduras.
