(Work in progress)
The Painted Lady butterflies travel the longest distance ever recorded for a butterfly migration. Each year, they fly between Africa, the Middle East, and Europe until their wings tear or fade. In “Constant Bloom” Lucas Foglia photographs the migrating butterflies and what they see on their journey. In his photographs, these butterflies link diverse people in diverse places. They are a metaphor for the interconnected world and our responsibility to care for it.
