After six weeks of lockdown in Moscow, people are running out of money. Almost half the population has no savings or only enough to survive for a month.
The people already living in precarious conditions are those most affected by the pandemic. Nanna visited several charities to understand how lockdown has affected the most vulnerable.The coronavirus crisis is more severe globally and is likely just the beginning of a new and more serious crisis.

Nanna Heitmann (1994, Ulm, Germany) is a German/ ussian documentary photographer, currently based in Moscow, Russia. She has worked on assignments for outlets including The New York Times. She has received awards that include the Leica Oscar Barnack Newcomer Award and the Ian Parry Award of Achievement.Nanna Heitmann joined Magnum as a nominee in 2019.
